I’m sitting here staring at my computer screen, thinking about the announcement of McCain’s running mate, a woman, and Obama’s nomination yesterday. One way or another, we will almost certainly make history with this year’s presidential election. But what I am looking at, the beginning of the Christensen Family History website, seems even more personally momentous to me. I am overwhelmed, and, for once, at a loss for words to write about my feelings concerning the beginning of this website. I have felt strongly that our family needs a web presence to share the heritage with which we have been blessed. Thank you, thank you, Jake Breinholt, for facilitating this beginning, and hopefully, for holding our hands as it continues to grow. I told Cousin Eric you were “our man.” Now I’ll say, “You’re the man!”
About Christensen Family History
The purpose of this website is to familiarize members of the M.J. Christensen family with their common heritage through family history stories, photographs and documents. We are also gathering and digitally preserving historical records and artifacts which provide accurate information about our family and support on-going research. This site is part of a family archive which is organized and digitally available for sharing. In addition, we hope this will be a place where family members can communicate and share their memories and stories which they would like to have preserved. We also invite any family announcements of births, weddings, missions, military service, etc.
